Foot-stomping, feel-good Ska/Reggae

About Us!

We're a 7 piece band from Northumberland with our own unique style, fusing ska, reggae, dub, balkan, gypsy, rock, and anything else we fancy at the time! We like to think of ourselves as a fun and energetic band that'll get the whole crowd moving with a smile on their face.

We started out by jamming as a group of mates back in 2008 anywhere we could find a space, since then we've progressed into a band that has played festivals and gigs across England and Scotland. We have headlined the Drystone Stage at Solfest in 2013, and have supported bands such as Bombskare, 3 Daft Monkeys, and Molotov Jukebox.

Press & Testimonials

'Goodtime music at its finest.' - Barrie Dimond, Festivals For All, Nuts in May 2012 Review.

'The Beatz' informal, feel-good rock reggae brought a ray of sunshine into the sodden fields and blazed up the Drystone stage.' - Sarah Newstead, Cumberland News.

'If you book bands and want your audience to dance their hearts out, you need this north-eastern, footstomping reggae/ska band on board!' - Lindsey Annison, Smashed Music, Solfest 2011 Review.

'This lot are musical bullies, I tried to stand still during the set but I couldn't. Clever rhythms and infectious beat  support a theatrical front line who honestly and effectively grab the audience and involve them in their storming on stage party. In short a f*****g great young festival/dance band. Watch them and book them.' - Phil Murray, The Doonan Family Band.
